Sphagnum Subfulvum
Sphagnum subfulvum, a species of moss belonging to the family Sphagnaceae, is known for its beauty and colouring ranging from beige to brown. Although not a common species, it is mainly found in acidic mesotrophic bogs. This particular clone originates from Sweden.
Sphagnum subfulvum is native to the northern hemisphere. It is characterised by its compact, cushion-shaped growth form and its vibrant colouring ranging from green to yellowish-green.
Sphagnum subfulvum plants are moderate to robust in size, generally soft and lax, sometimes moderately stiff. The capitulum, or upper part of the plant, contains fascicles of densely clustered young branches. Branch leaves are oval, 2-2.5 mm, concave, straight, with involute apex.
